About
William Bredbeck lives in Connecticut, USA and is the father of two amazing little girls. He is passionate about mentoring creative people and making great things!
He got his BFA from Parsons School of Design in NYC.
He was the lead animator for the Henry and June segments of the Nickelodeon show “KABLAM!”
After brief stints as a bike messenger in Manhattan, making oil paintings and climbing mountains in Alaska, and working as a sailor on a 160-foot schooner in New England, he started making video games in NYC. He made games with This is Pop for Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Adult Swim, and many adver-games, before taking a job as Art Director at Arkadium.
He eventually advanced to Senior Director of Design at Arkadium, where he managed design teams in New York, Ukraine, and Toronto. His team's products, such as Microsoft Solitaire and U.B. Funkeys, reached (and continue to reach) many millions of users every day.
After Arkadium William became very interested in using his super powers to make something with a positive effect on the world. He took a job as Creative Lead and Principal Product designer at Everfi. While there he helped children struggling to learn to read with the WORD Force app, educated teens on the dangers of prescription drug abuse and vaping with the Truth Initiative, and created training courses required for all Google employees among many other projects.
William also became very passionate about teaching. He began sharing his knowledge and experience teaching digital design at the NYU Game Center, Parsons School of Design, Sacred Heart University, and Polaris Global Academy. He also works as a creative consultant and freelance Creative Director helping companies and individuals do their very best work.
When not doing all of that stuff he can be found collecting local ecotype native seeds, painting and drawing, telling stories, playing the banjo or musical saw, and making himself laugh.
William is on a constant search to make something remarkable! Life is to short to spend it making garbage.
William does not not particularly enjoy talking about himself in the third person.
